I’m excited to share Mahala’s senior session with you all today! I met her family a few years ago when her sister Kayle was one of our senior models. And then I got to photograph her for the first time at their family session that year. This beautiful family moved to sunny Florida (#jealous) so getting the chance to create again for them wasn’t on my radar making Alicia’s message about planning Mahala’s session such a wonderful surprise.

We had a small window of time to work with while they were in the state, but that was no problem (thank goodness weather worked out for us!). It was so much fun to hang out with Mahala AND her sis and momma joined us on session too so I got to hang with them all for a bit! Now, her canvases and album are all being carefully printed and will be in the mail on their way to Florida in the next few days so it’s time to share the whole thing with you guys too!

My vote for their next family session is a destination session for me in Florida 😉 #soundslikeaplantome !!!

Guys, I get to share with you a simply GORGEOUS wedding today! I hadn’t photographed at the beautiful Holy Family Church since Marie’s cousins wedding so it was a treat to be back. Every wedding I’ve done there has been so elegant.

Though Marie & Ernie selected a mostly digital collection, I decided the style of their wedding was perfect to showcase a brand new album style we’ve created that is a throwback to more classic albums. Fully customizable, of course, with beautiful cover materials these albums combine 2-3 images per page to tell the story of the most important moments of your wedding day.

For this sample album we selected a combo of a wood grain as a nod to the floral and natural vibe but in contrasting light/dark tones on the album/box to pull in the modern and elegant edge.

Guys!!!! I just got a message today with a super fun surprise. Baby Miller decided he couldn’t wait to come meet his awesome family and made his debut a bit early which means I get to meet him NEXT WEEK! I cannot wait and in celebration of his arrival how about a look at the Miller Family maternity session. Ahhh today’s the day! Hudson’s big debut on the blog. I don’t know if it’s knowing that we are done having kids here and my almost 10 month old baby is getting farther and farther from the squishy little newborn stage or what but I have been bit by the newporn portrait bug (those who know me stifle your gasps haha). I have gotten to soak up some major baby snuggles the past month with a few newborns in the studio and I’m even more excited about what the new studio building will have available for us for newborn and first (2) year portraits!

That’s right, did you catch that 2…. most of our little newborns come in and join us for our full 2 year grow up program. Why 2? Well, as a baby and toddler momma right now I am simply amazed by the transformation from 0-1 for starters as your squishy little baby turns into a curious and mobile toddler. But the transformation from 1-2 is no less amazing as they really begin to discover who they are and their little personalities become not so little anymore!

So stay tuned for a couple years of unbelievable cuteness with this little man. He’s already working those grumpy man eyebrows and adorable little grin!

It’s Kolapo’s day in the spotlight on the blog! One fun things about senior guy sessions is that their wardrobe changes are typically a little quicker than our senior gals, so we tend to be able to fit a LOT of work into a single session! We kicked things off with Kolapo at his home (they have some gorgeous land with a fun red barn) and that’s always a great plan for the family pets so they are comfortable in their own space. And can I just tell you I fell in love with Winston.
