It’s time to show off Ella’s senior portraits today! Ella is a Maroa-Forsyth High School senior this year and she was so much fun to photograph. We spent some time in the studio here then headed out to Lake Decatur before making our way to the gym and football field for a few to showcase her cheer.

Who else is missing beautiful warm sunny weather like this?!?! I’m so ready to get back out and work in some warm spring weather (it’s coming SOON, right?!?!).

I’m really excited about her album design and love the modern element of the diamond which worked perfectly to add a little flare to her designs.

| Peyton L | Eisenhower High School Senior 2017 Photographer |

Today I get to share Peyton’s senior portraits with you! I got to work with Peyton’s family for the first time a couple of years ago when I photographed his brother Preston (class of 2015).

Of course, as you might guess, most guys aren’t running through my doors with bells on and buckets of clothes excited for the day they’ve been waiting for all year … so we don’t try to hold them hostage for our longest session but it’s amazing what we can get done at a single location in 45 minutes (especially with guys who’s clothing changes are quick and easy!). We chose Fairview Park for Peyton’s session because we wanted to work in a variety of looks to get both an outdoor nature feel as well as some more urban tones/textures. We also wanted to mix things up from what we created for Preston which was a more fall/urban look.

What I’m most excited about sharing with you today is something Peyton’s mom told me just yesterday….. that Peyton’s favorite images were those when I captured him smiling. MOST guys make me work a little harder than our gals do to get smiles in front of the camera. But no worries, challenge accepted!

The below letter image was a special request to make sure we worked in to Peyton’s session so that once his younger brother has his senior portraits we’ll have a series with all three with their letters. I love that we are planning ahead to a series piece that will show off this similarity between all three Lindsey brothers!

Oh my goodness guys, do you know when the last senior girl was on the blog?!?! Over a MONTH ago (Ariel’s feature was December 8th!). It’s been families, babies, weddings (oh my) around here for awhile and it’s definitely time we circled back around to some seniors!!! I’m getting so excited to wrap up work on our remaining class of 2017 seniors and the model applications for our class of 2018 models are already rolling in!

But it’s not time for the class of 2018 her on the blog yet…. no today is all about Bailee, a Sullivan High School SENIOR class of 2017! I am absolutely in love with SO many of Bailee’s images. She has the most stunning eyes and flawless complexion that she really didn’t take one bad image the whole time. While she has a stunning smile as you’ll see this girl can rock a serious face like no other. It was hard for us to say ‘no’ to any of the serious ones but that’s ok, Bailee picked out an album so we didn’t have to say no to many and can feature them ALL.

| Orrick Family Portraits | Downtown + Country Club of Decatur |

Check out the Orrick Family!!! I swear these guys are the most photogenic and well-behaved little guys I’ve photographed (maybe ever lol). The Orrick family was amazing to work with and when Kristi said she wanted to do our longer session to work in two locations I was a little skeptical that I could hold the attention of three young boys for that long. But these three (and mom and dad) did amazing! They were perfect at following directions and boy did they bring the charm (just look at those smiles).

And Kristi already knew she wanted to make sure we fit in time for images around the Country Club golf course since Steve works there and these guys are quite the golfers! Well I love any time we can add a personal touch to a session like this and the golf course is absolutely beautiful (one of my FAVORITE Decatur wedding venues!!)

I’m so glad that we were able to not only design a feature wall art piece and some accents for their home but also that they decided to showcase all their favorite images in one of our legacy albums. This is always my favorite way to preserve and highlight this slice of time in my client’s lives.

I absolutely LOVE working with this beautiful family! I get to work with Melanie every year for the senior yearbook, dances and organizational photos for Warrensburg-Latham High School. And for the last couple years I’ve had the chance to photograph both Melanie and her lovely girls, Savannah & Sophie.

This year we did an in-studio session for a little change and created a Christmas look on our fireplace, something a little traditional and classic and then finished up with a little personality with our very own BoxDropsbySJP Sweet Scarves backdrop (a personal favorite).

I think this family image below ended up being my favorite. The laughs and cuddles with just a tiny hint of tween ‘ew do I have to’ mixed in made that one the most genuine to me and I just love it!
