Take a look at a few of Rachel’s favorites from her recent senior session at Sarah Jane Photography! You know we love to go tromping around town for our seniors but sometimes all we need is a quick 45 minutes in the studio and that’s exactly what we did for Rachel. The best part about studio sessions is they can be done anytime throughout the year and we never have rain delays! If you’re a senior looking to beat the rush on senior portraits and get them back before all your friends (but don’t want to freeze outside in this sloshy snowy mess) then now is the time to call and book your studio session.

Brand new in the studio for 2014 I’m excited to have nearly 15 new backdrops to debut. We’ve got everything from classic black/grey to glitzy and glittery, grungy, patriotic and so much more! I’m so excited about what’s new in the studio this year (can you tell).

Well you can’t tell it from these photos because of how awesome Jaylan rocked his senior session but it was FREEZING! I had two senior guys scheduled for a random cold day this fall (like seriously cold, it snowed!) and both toughed it out and did an amazing job not looking cold.

I loved Jaylan’s style (we had a lot of fun with that hat!) and he was a natural in front of the camera. I was excited to be able to show off his car to add even more personality to his session (there’s nothing quite like a boy’s first car).

Say hello to Amanda & Chad! They are ENGAGED (whoohoo)!!!! I’m so excited about their fall 2014 wedding, and honored to be a part of their big day. Amanda and I hit it off right away and I was thrilled when they decided I was the photographer for them. It was a gorgeous day so we decided to hang out around Allerton Park for their session (just like for Kiersten’s senior session that I posted yesterday).

I love that locations like Allerton offer so much variety that you can have countless sessions there without producing images that look exactly the same. Decatur is full of gorgeous areas to photograph from the parks and lake areas to the downtown city scape and even grungy back alleys, the possibilities are endless.

Check out Kiersten’s senior portraits! We spent Kiersten’s session all around Allerton Park. She had fond memories of spending time around the park as a kid and wanted to commemorate that by creating her senior portraits there. Aren’t these two adorable?!? Ashley enjoys photography too and we first met the first time I was invited to teach at the Decatur Camera Club. The Club is an awesome group of photography enthusiasts and I was excited to be able to work with Ashley for our fall family mini sessions this year!

Fall did come a little late this year but we were able to capture a little of the golden yellow on these trees for this early fall session and, of course, we had to include their gorgeous pup too! These two have now welcomed a beautiful baby boy into their family, congratulations to you both!
