This year we joined in with some other wonderful local businesses to provide an epic prom prize for one lucky high schooler and Ms. Morgan was the winner! Our part of her prize was a 30 minute prom-day session with her friends. We met this gorgeous group at the beautiful Scovill Gardens and it was fun to have two of my past seniors (Kaitlyn and Holly) in the group too!
| Carly + Tyler | Engagement Portraits | Decatur IL |
Take a look at Carly & Tyler! I’m so excited to be photographing their wedding this coming fall and today I get to share a few of their favorite engagement images with you all. I met Carly a couple years ago when I created her senior images and I was thrilled when she called to talk about her wedding day.
We wanted a sunset look for their session but timing wasn’t working out with our schedules so instead we opted for SUNRISE! While not many clients brave the early morning hours for this look I just LOVE it and it lets us get really unique looks including the first ever sunrise I’ve photographed over this field at sandscreek.. the light is just not the same here any other time of day!
But as you can tell by their first outfits this session was a bit chilly so we opted to spend the second half of their session here in the studio where we could all stay much warmer! There’s always something so classic and timeless in studio portraits, especially black and white.
| Jessie + Derek | Engagement Session | Columbia, MO |
Guess what?!?! My beautiful cousin got MARRIED! I had the honor of photographing these two tie the knot last year and now that all their guests got to enjoy their guestbook I get to share/show it off to you here (and you’ll get to see their wedding images soon too).
I’ve said it before (and I’ll likely say it again) but I LOVE our guestbook albums for wedding days. We designed one for our big day and just this past week I got it out to show a client and had fun flipping back through it to see not only our images but all the sweet notes left by our friends and family on those pages too. This is a product that lets you share and enjoy your engagement images for years and to remember not only your sweet relationship but also all those who shared in your wedding day.
| Emaan | Maroa-Forsyth High School | Senior 2018 |
Today I get to show off this talented girl’s senior portraits! Not only does she play clarinet (way better than I did for a bit in high school) but she’s also drum major.
Plus, we knew we wanted to showcase her Pakistani heritage with a couple of her outfits. Aren’t they beautiful!
After some time in the studio we headed out to Rock Springs to create a few outdoor looks and though we didn’t have a ton of fall colors but we did find a tree or two and some beautiful leaves for her to lay in to create that fall feel.
Be sure to check out our IG and Facebook to see a few more from her session!
| Tristen | WLHS Senior 2018 |
Today it’s time to check out Tristen’s first session (we’ve got another planned coming up this spring). I absolutely loved working with Tristen and her momma. We hung out a bit downtown before heading out to one of my favorite sunset nature locations to get the wide open field look.
You might remember Payton’s ‘dumpster’ image well we stumbled upon the perfect HUGE green dumpster on Tristen’s session too. While Payton’s blue dumpster matched her eyes, I couldn’t pass up this green rusted one with Tristen’s green romper. We can really turn just about any location into something beautiful and I love the challenge to do so.
Plus, have you heard how excited I am about our new Senior Films?!?! I played a bit on just a couple 2017 sessions including Tristen’s so here’s a tiny look at what the new senior films are all about.
Be sure to check out our IG and Facebook to see a few more from her session!
