I’m so excited to share a few images from Heather & Cody’s engagement session with their beautiful pup, Skye. They are just the sweetest couple and I cannot wait to be a part of their wedding day this year.
We started their session in downtown Decatur but needed to work in a little nature for the start of the show: Skye! You can see more of these two on our Facebook Page and coming after their June wedding!!!
I love that our website had a fabulous way for us to not only highlight client images but also their words and feedback but as I’ve been busy working on creating images, designing albums and completing the day to day tasks of running the business I’ve not updated our site, and especially the reviews section, as often as I would like. So, it’s time! 
And to make it more fun I’m entering every review we receive TODAY (3/29/15) in a drawing to win some of my favorite things (Starbucks cards, chocolate, coffee mugs, mini sessions and more!).

Whoa! You all know I LOVE our custom-designed albums and I’ve been designing away for these recent clients (with a stack of more to finish up this month too!). I wanted to take a second to show you some of what I’ve been designing recently.
I’m excited about the evolution of my style especially in album designs. While I would call these anything but boring or plain I have been leaning toward a simpler aesthetic recently. I like to select 1-3 elements like a background, texture, pattern, text, or shape and then stick with those couple elements in various ways throughout the album so that we can let the images shine but still infuse some personality to the design as well.
Soooo as I take a break from working on Samantha’s senior album AND Heather & Cody’s guestbook today I thought I’d pop in here to share some of these recent designs!

Start with a beautiful gal, add in a boy and his beard plus a gorgeous fall day at Allerton Park and you’ll have Myra & Tyler’s wedding day!! This was such a fun group and I absolutely love these two love birds. I’m so excited to share some of our favorite images from their day…
What’s better than a guy and his guys? A guy and his little girl (aren’t they just adorable!?!)
And nothing beats a great first look (I love the anticipation on his face).
The realities of bird seed being thrown is you get to pick it out of eachother’s hair and in a beautifully romantic post-ceremony moment!
And the Decatur Club does it again rocking the classic chandeliers! 
Say hello to Amanda & Chad! They are ENGAGED (whoohoo)!!!! I’m so excited about their fall 2014 wedding, and honored to be a part of their big day. Amanda and I hit it off right away and I was thrilled when they decided I was the photographer for them. It was a gorgeous day so we decided to hang out around Allerton Park for their session (just like for Kiersten’s senior session that I posted yesterday).
I love that locations like Allerton offer so much variety that you can have countless sessions there without producing images that look exactly the same. Decatur is full of gorgeous areas to photograph from the parks and lake areas to the downtown city scape and even grungy back alleys, the possibilities are endless.
